Can you guys believe it is mid-September and it is officially fall (umm, somebody please tell Texas weather that). I love everything about fall– football, my birthday, and most of all my fall wardrobe. I wanted to share with you guys some of my favorite fall essentials. I say that because each of these pieces are truly so versatile and you will wear them again, and again. Many of these I have either already purchased, or are on my wish list! Let’s break em down, shall we?

Fall Essential #1 a chunky off the shoulder sweater. Unless you have been living under a rock you know that off the shoulder anything and everything has been a major trend. That doesn’t mean you have to give up your beloved OTS when the leaves turn. Off the shoulder sweaters are popping up everywhere and oh-em-gee I love it! I actually purchased this one in ivory and am absolutely going to purchase the black as well!

Fall Essential #2 black aviators. While you might not break out your sunnies as much in the fall and winter months as you do in summer, a sleek “go-with everything” is still needed. I feel like aviators universally look good on just about everyone. I decided to branch out from my beloved Ray-Bans and purchased these matte black Le Specs pair, I can’t get enough of them!

Fall Essential #3 is the perfect pair of denim. Instead of owning 20 pairs of “meh” quality denim I like to invest in 3 good pairs that I know fit my body well, are good quality (I mean, think how often you wear your favorite pair of denim jeans), and also fit the style I am looking for. I will elaborate more on this later, as I am currently working on a post which explains the 3 pairs of denim you need this fall!

Fall Essential #4 is a great white button down. I actually just purchased this exact one (which I looooove, be on the lookout for it on the blog soon). The classic white shirt is just so versatile and great for layering!

Fall Essential #5 is the suede mini skirt! I am suede crazy, y’all! I actually had purchased a suede mini skirt last year which I loved but accidentally ended its life short via my laundry skills. Oops. I love pairing it with OTK boots or a chunky sweater!

Fall Essential #6 is a great pair of leather leggings. I think these are as much of a staple as your favorite pair of jeans. I got so much wear out of my leather leggings that I purchased last season. I can’t wait to pull them out again. I would absolutely pair them with #1 and #4!

Fall Essential #7 is anything and everything oxblood. I am just beyond obsessed with this color– when I saw this oxblood calf hair clutch I about died. I think I might make this my birthday present to me, from me!

Fall Essential #8 is surprise, surprise, more suede! I purchased this exact suede jacket during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale this year and I cannot tell you guys enough how much of a staple this already has (I don’t even car if its too hot sometimes, I wear it anyways because I love it so much) been for me and will continue to be through fall. This jacket also comes in two other colors, which I might or might not have in my shopping cart as well!

Fall Essential #9 are statement earrings! I LOVE me some statement earrings. I would say my go-to fall look would be a great sweater, bold lip, and a great pair of statement earrings. This post from last fall was one of my absolute favorites, and I think really encompasses my personal style!

Fall Essential #10 is a great carry-all tote! I honestly think this is a year round, essential! If you are like me I am always on the go and like to carry my laptop (and my life) in my purse! I love having a great structured tote to hold everything in, but still look chic! I actually just received this one last week and I am obsessed– it holds all my belongings perfectly.

Last, but not least my final Fall Essential is a great pair of OTK boots! I purchased this exact pair last year and I can’t tell you how much I wore them. I actually wore them so much that I am thinking about purchasing them again because my old ones are starting to look pretty worn. Also, I want to note if you purchase anything suede this season be sure to pre-treat it with some kind of suede protectant…. I learned that the hard way last season unfortunately!
