Omgggg y’all! Today I am turning the page on another year of life and celebrating my 28th birthday! Like what? How in the world am I 28 years old? I really do get a little bit nostalgic every year on my birthday– especially here in my late twenties. I just feel like these last few years have shaped me more as a young woman than any others. With that being said, 27 will be a hard year to beat! I’ve celebrated many personal and career accomplishments, traveled, made new friendships, strengthened old ones, and have just overall had a really great year of growth, successes, and happiness. However, I have also dealt with some tough stuff as well– losing my grandpa (who was so special to me), disappointment in my personal life, and even some creative ruts. That is just life for you– just whole heartedly trusting in the Lord and the plans he has for my life. Am I where I thought I would be celebrating 28? Heck no! However– I am truly so thankful for this season of life and I know BIG plans are in store for this next year, I just can’t wait to see what they bring!
Part of my reasoning for 27 being one of my best years thus far is that I have taken this “little blog” of mine and turned it into a brand and a business. I can’t describe the happiness it brings me getting to do what I love every single day– some people live their whole lives and never get to experience that. Yet, here I am in my twenties with a career that fulfills me and brings me joy. Is this real life?! However, I wouldn’t get the opportunity to do this if it weren’t for you guys! Every single one of you who takes the time to follow me, read my blog, send emails, comments, message me, puts up with my wine-induced rants…. you are the reason I am able to do what I love. Thank you for not only supporting me, but for your friendship– I hope I am able to connect with you all in some way or another, whether it just be because you simply like the clothes I wear and post about, or the “real life” stuff I share with you all. Whatever the case may be, thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thank you so much to everyone who has made me feel so loved– I am so excited to see what year 28 has in store for me! Cheers!
