This January will mark living in Dallas for six years. SIX. I have to say I love this city of mine and love sharing my favorite spots with others. I always love when you guys reach out to me for Dallas suggestions! I swear I could make lists for daysss and a full itinerary when it comes to my favorite spots here in the big D.
I’ll get to work on that, but for today I want to share with you guys one of my favorite areas and where you can usually find me at during the week! Highland Park Village in Dallas has it all- shopping, dining, coffee shops, and bakeries all in the most charming outdoor setting. I work a lot in this area, and have many dinner dates with friends- it is also absolutely MAGICAL during the holidays with lights lining the bottom to the very top and tips of every tree branch. Its absolutely stunning.
As much as I wish I were one of those women who could run a marathon in high heels, I am just not cut out for that. All about the comfort- especially when I know its going to be a busy day or I will be doing a lot of walking. These FitFlop metal stud leather sneakers are the newest addition to my athleisure game. I went with the white with gold studs because the gold ties in to a lot of the accessories I wear butttt I am also obsessed with the navy– I can’t get over how perfect they would be for fall. I had heard a lot about just how comfortable FitFlop shoes were but I can’t get over how lightweight these are. More so than many of my running shoes.
Wore these with jeans and a cardi to start off the day with coffee and some work at Royal Blue Grocery- which is where you can find me the majority of the time while in Highland Park Village. Start the day with coffee and end it with wine… this place has it all! Usually mid-day I will hop over to Bird Bakery for a cupcake (obsessed with their carrot cake) or their chicken salad sandwich. Two of my favorite Dallas restaurants also happen to be in Highland Park Village! Honor Bar is my favorite spot to meet my girlfriends for lunch, and they also happen to have the best salad I’ve ever had in my life (I am not kidding when I say I have this at least once a week) called the Macho salad- definitely a must if you go. My other favorite casual restaurant and where I usually like to go with groups of friends is Mi Cocina which is a Dallas staple. Have a mambo taxi margarita and some chips and queso (but save room for your meal because their brisket quesadillas are life changing).
Again, this is one of my favorite areas because it has everything you need within walking distance (which is a breeze when you have comfy shoes), and that’s saying a lot because Dallas isnttt exactly the most walkable city! Ha! Can’t wait to style these FitFlop sneakers the rest of the fall season- I am actually headed to the fair this week and will 100% be wearing these!
**Thank you so much to FitFlop for sponsoring today’s post.**
