At laaaast, my love has come along: At Home. If you’ve been keeping up with me, you know I’m a sucker for all things home decor. Especially after moving into my home this October- it has been so much fun to see my place come together over the past few months,. This job has provided me with the freedom to work remotely, so I spend a lot of time at home. I think it’s important to put in work to wherever you call home, because it’s where you start and end each day. Having a clean, aesthetically pleasing home not only makes me happy, but keeps me motivated and on track with my day-to-day routine because I genuinely enjoy being, and working, at home.
As most of you know, I moved into my house during late fall, so my main focus was the interior. I’m so happy with how things have progressed and turned out, but with the warmer weather as of late, I knew my front porch needed some TLC. Before I even thought twice, I was already in my car and en route to At Home.
I’m a self-proclaimed At Home OG. I’ve been going since I was little with my mom when it was still Garden Ridge. Anyone else remember that?! I didn’t have a dime to my name, but you better believe I wandered those seemingly endless aisles of all things home decor with excitement and opinions about what I thought my mom “needed” to buy this go-around.
If you haven’t been, it’s time. It doesn’t matter what you’re looking for–they will surely have it, and 36 other options, as well. Unlike a lot of other interior retail stores, they develop their own unique products directly. This means not only limitless on trend options, but also extremely competitive pricing. They’ve ditched the commissioned sales person route, and instead allow consumers to come in and browse the store without interruption and with guaranteed low prices. *Don’t be dismayed. If you need help, theres always a friendly employee around every corner that can point you in the right direction!*
**Above is a picture of my front porch before.. I know, I know. It’s a little sad!**
During this trip, I came in with a plan to revamp my front porch. It’s the first thing people see, therefore it should make a good visual first impression. There were SO many routes I could go, but I chose to stick to what I know and love: a clean, timeless look. For me, that consisted of a trendy door mat, transitional black lanterns and bold plants to adorn both sides of my front door. Everyone that comes over thinks these babies are real because the quality is top-notch, and I can rest easy knowing they will never die on my watch. I already have 2 fur children, so I like to stick to low (or no) maintenance plants or greenery that isn’t reliant upon me for survival. These are perfect and really make my front porch pop. They had a ton of wreaths, but I chose this dried floral beauty to accentuate my vision. (It also smells AMAZING!) I chose a “less is more” approach for my porch because I wanted to keep it clean and inviting.
Since then, I’ve also made a trip back for some solar pathway lights that really make me feel like I’m walking a runway when I get home after dark. I am so pleased with how everything turned out, and can’t wait to go back for some Easter decor. At Home is known for a plethora of holiday decor–they literally have aisles and aisles of cute options for all styles and visions and I always leave with more than I intended on picking up. I love seeing how things are styled, so send me photos of what y’all find on your next trip!
**Thank you so much to At Home for sponsoring todays post. As always, all opinions are my own. **
