Happy National Tequila day, y’all! Now, this is a holiday I am pretty sure I celebrate weekly (mexican food and margaritas are my weakness). I am sure you may recognize these ladies from my post a few weeks ago where we discussed rompers for different body types. Well, we are back at it again to show you guys our take on what to wear to a summer pool party! Summer is far from over, especially here in Texas– I believe we hang out at the pool till about November (ain’t mad about it)! So, a summer pool party or BBQ are often a weekend ritual.
What is a summer pool party without cocktails? (Answer: a lame party). This skinny margarita mix from Williams- Sonoma is one of my favorites! It is light, not to bitter or sweet and so easy to make! These copper bar items are also a favorite of mine for entertaining, plus they look SUPER cute on a bar cart to display as well.
What to Wear: Off the Shoulder Top
No shocker here, I chose to rock a off the shoulder top and denim shorts. A light, breezy off the shoulder top is absolutely at the top of my list for a summer must-have! This top is one of my absolute favorites to throw on, and add some of my favorite accessories like these pastel tassel earrings. Ta-da!
What to Wear: Crochet Top
Amanda of The Miller Affect went with this super cute crochet top, and is pool ready with her bathing suit underneath! I am obsessed with anything and everything crochet so I love this, but probably my favorite thing is that the crochet detail is nice and breathable which is absolutely necessary with this summer heat. Pit stains ain’t cute, y’all!
What to Wear: Crop Top
My favorite classy lady, Christina of Fashion and Frills opted for a white crop top and high waisted skirt. I love the ruffle on the front of her crop top! I also have these lace up sandals in pink, and I officially want them in every color.
What to Wear: Off the Shoulder Dress
While I wore my favorite off the shoulder top, Natalie of The Fashion Hour rocked this red striped off the shoulder dress, which I LOVE. I actually tried this dress on in store before my trip to Mexico. It is made of a light, airy material which is perfect to throw on for the pool and can also double as a great swimsuit cover up!
What to Wear: Chambray Shorts
How cute are these chambray shorts that Brooke of One Small Blonde is wearing?! I just love the embroidered detailing on them. Chambray is a great alternative to regular denim shorts– and also super easy to slip on over your bathing suit for the pool! Brooke is all about keepin’ it casual, and comfy– which is a must if you are spending the afternoon at a summer pool party.
