I hope you all had a wonderful July 4th weekend and partied like it was 1776! This was a little more of a low-key July 4th weekend for me compared to years past (AKA I wasn’t on the lake consuming Lone Stars and Jello shots), haha! Does this mean I’m officially an adult? I spent most of the weekend back home with family, grilling out with friends, and relaxing. It was so nice!
On Friday I am taking a little road trip to the infamous West Texas middle-of-nowhere town of Marfa (of course I will be sharing all the details on that with you all) and this week I have been planning our trip, and of course what I am going to wear. As I was going through my closet (which is also something I am in the process of doing– a major closet clean out), I counted that I had 29 pairs of nude/brown sandals…. idk if I should be slightly embarrassed of this, or proud? Not to justify having 29 pairs of identical (some may say, but not I) sandals, but I seriously wear at least like 20 of those pairs regularly. To be fair, in Texas you can wear sandals and open toed shoes pretty much year round so they all get much more wear opposed to my boots and booties. This Summer I have been on a sandal kick and I wanted to share some of my favorites with you guys under $100. Including these pearl-studded sandals from Nordstrom. I’m sure it comes as no surprise that the majority of my shoes I purchase from Nordstrom, not only because they carry super cute styles (duh) but because of the customer service they provide. Last Spring I purchased the infamous Marc Fisher espadrille wedges that everyone was freaking out over (rightfully so, because they are amazing and probably my most worn pair of shoes). However, after wearing them for a little over 2 months the strap broke around my ankle. I took them in and Nordstrom tracked them down for me (because they were basically sold out everywhere) and replaced them with a brand new pair. I’m telling y’all, its things like that that make the difference.
