To The Xtreme

I’m always down for a good brunch, but lately I’ve been really into doing more activities that I wouldn’t normally get the opportunity to do. What started as axe throwing, has transpired into living out all of my Fast & Furious (curious) dreams, thanks to Xtreme Xperience.
They provide luxury supercars to be test driven on racetracks near you. Our experience took place at Texas Motor Speedway, which was SO cool because that was my first time even stepping foot at a racetrack. Aside from their home base in New Orleans, their fleet of supercars travels to multiple cities around the US, so this enthralling experience is something you don’t want to pass *pun intended* up. All you have to do is sign up in advance online and you can channel your inner Danika or Dale.

SPEED UP, GAS PEDAL
Upon arrival, you will check in and head to a quick safety training that will cover all of the basics before you head to the track. I was so impressed by the instructors knowledge and that their number one priority was our safety. If you’re not quite ready to ‘Shake and Bake,’ you have the option to participate in a ride-along to help warm you up (warm up your engine). I recommend doing this because you will get to see how it’s done first hand AND it helps with the nerves if you’re a naturally safe (and slow) driver like I am.

You are then paired with a professional instructor (they were all SO nice and patient) that will assist you while you drive. I chose the Lamborghini Huracan and it did not disappoint. They have many other cars in there fleet so you can check out all of their super cars you can drive here. I opted out of trying to Tokyo Drift, but you do have the option of going as fast or slow as you’d like with their support, either way. Believe it or not, I actually got a speeding ticket on my way to my Xtreme Xperience! My first ticket in over 5 years- I guess I was just so pumped to be on the track, haha! What’s even more embarrassing is I don’t think I clocked in a speed as fast on the racetrack as what I got a ticket for.
TRACK TIPS:
-WEAR CLOSED-TOED, FLAT SHOES.
-BUY THE VIDEO PACKAGE. THEY DON’T ALLOW GO-PROS SO THIS PROVIDES YOU WITH THE PROOF (AND ENTERTAINMENT) THAT YOU GOT THE FULL XTREME XPERIENCE
-ALL CARS ARE EQUIPPED WITH SEMI-AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS, SO YOU DON’T HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO DRIVE A STICK.
-HELMETS ARE PROVIDED AND YOUR INSTRUCTORS WILL ENSURE YOUR SAFETY.
-FAMILY & FRIENDS ARE ALLOWED IN TENTED WAITING AREAS WITH PHOTO-OPS AND ICE-COLD WATER.
-BRING YOUR VALID DRIVERS LICENSE AND PROVIDED QR CODE (SHOWING IT FROM YOUR PHONE IS FINE)
-PARKING IS FREE.
-EXPECT TO BE THERE FOR 1.5-2 HOURS.
“IF YOU AIN’T FIRST, YOU’RE LAST”
Even if you aren’t a “car person,” you still need to experience this. It was such an adrenaline rush and left us feeling like a million bucks. Ladies: this would also make the PERFECT gift for the men in your life. I wouldn’t want to be left out because it was seriously so much fun, but if you’re struggling with coming up with a unique gift idea, this is the IDEAL experience. Tangible gifts are nice, but I’m an avid believer that a memorable experience is worth so much more. This is a once in a lifetime experience–because let’s be real, unless you’re Kanye *cue Lamborghini Mercy*, most of us won’t stumble across a Lambo Huracan any time soon. I can’t wait until they’re back in Dallas, I will definitely be doing this again!
